The Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre is delighted to be chosen to deliver the Bayonne and Field Road Community Champions project over the next five years.
The program’s aim is to address and reduce health inequality, promote healthy living/well-being by building on the skills/experience and knowledge within local community.
The project will invest in local people, giving them tools and resources to identify local issues so they can come up with solutions of their own. These Community Champions are neighbourhood residents who volunteer their time to connect local people with local healthcare services who are in tune with their needs, aspirations and issues of their community. The project involves a wide range of resident-driven elements ranging from fitness classes, cookery events, well-being activities, confidence building, training and much more.
If you live on the Bayonne or Field Road Estate wards or the immediate surrounding area and would like to get involved in transforming the health and well-being of your local community by volunteering as a Community Champion, get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
